The flag to me is more than just a piece of cloth. It is a symbol. A symbol that means we are a united nation. It shows we are not ruled by tyrants who think they are the best, but that we are equal under the eyes of the flag. It is a sign of peace and prosperity to all who pledge allegiance to it. During the wars it is a reminder that we fight not for power, but for our independence and our flag. Many have died fighting for the flag. Without our flag we would be in a barbaric age with suffering and no justice. If the colors had a purpose the red would be courage that we had to fight for our country. Blue would mean friendliness. White would be peace. Our flag is a leader to this country and all who live in it. This is what the flag means to me.
