July 29, 2009
Traer Star-Clipper

Stampede, a high-energy, country and rock band will be performing at the Winding Stairs "Tailgating on Second Street" Festival. The Group has been sponsored by Farmers Mutual Insurance, Joe Morris State Farm Insurance, L. L. Owens & Associates, and Tama County Mutual Insurance. Their performance will take place from 8:00pm to 12:00am on Saturday, August 8, on the main stage.

Stampede utilizes a high level of musicianship, careful song selection, professional sound and lighting production and lots of energy all packaged into one great live show. Audiences of all ages are thrilled with their ability to perform material of various styles, including new country, line-dance favorites, foot stompin' fiddle classics and even some classic rock hits. It is this ability to entertain any crowd with a concert quality show that sets Stampede apart from other bands.

The band has performed with several national artists, including CMA award winner Dierks Bentley, Josh Gracin, and Andy Griggs. When they are not rubbing shoulders with the stars, they are busy impressing audiences at concerts, festivals, fairs, ballrooms, street dances and corporate events throughout the Midwest.
