Traer Star-Clipper

Dear Editor:

As a member of the 1964 class and an honored class of 45 years this year, I was looking forward to a reunion and am VERY disappointed that at such a late date there is not an option of attending.

According to the first informational reunion letter sent July 28th to the class of '64, no one would accept the responsibility of reunion chairperson for the class. I did not receive a request to chair the class of '64 reunion, and none of the classmates I correspond with received a request to do so, either. I wonder when the reunion information was sent to all other classes to be honored.

Who was contacted to act as chairperson? If people in the Traer area turned down the request, a letter could have been sent to the entire class. I am sure someone would have responded positively. The entire class was not sent the general reunion information until July 28th so a class list was, obviously, available. However, all reunion information arrived TOO LATE FOR MOST TO ATTEND. It appears to me that the class of 1964 was forgotten, the ball dropped, and thus no reunion, no class book and no opportunity to catch up with classmates.

I live in Washington State and cannot make a flight to attend the reunion at this late date. I am sure many others, even those who live closer, are unable to attend at this point. I believe an apology is due to our class. I would have been willing to work on my class from here, and I know others would have, also, IF they had been contacted. I know the 40 year reunion chairperson gave the reunion committee the class mailing list. I am sorry, but this oversight is just unacceptable in my book.
