On one of the most beautiful days of 2009 summer, the Traer Chamber of Commerce hosted the annual Car and Motorcycle Cruise. This year's theme was "Pounden' the Streets."
Sixty-six vehicles registered for the event, held on the grass off Elm Street and Highway 63, with all receiving dash plaques and goodie bags. Dan Arp of Traer won the crowd-pleasing Burnout event.
Registered drivers were able to vote for "Best of Show" and Mark Schlablaugh of Kalona, with his 1950 Ford Station Wagon, took that big trophy home with him.
