TRAER - Class A No. 2 North Tama again controlled both sides of the ball on its way to a 44-0 win over Don Bosco Friday.
Dylan Youel led the Redhawk rushing attack with 15 carries for 189 yards and four touchdowns. Youel had scoring runs of 14, 2, 4 and 55 yards.
Colton Hamilton added a 2-yard rushing touchdown, while Lucas Hefty hauled in a 32-yard touchdown pass from Brendon Boerm in the second quarter.
Defensively, North Tama recorded a safety in the second quarter on its way to a 30-0 halftime advantage.
Don Bosco finished with 30 yards of total offense on the night as it fell to 0-2. The Dons had 28 rushing attempts for minus-11 yards and their 14 passing attempts resulted in four completions for 41 yards.
The Redhawks (2-0) have outscored their opponents 100-0 this season and their defense has surrendered only 79 yards on 71 plays.
North Tama begins Class A District 6 play next Friday at No. 10-ranked BGM. The Redhawks have won 10 straight district games.
