North Tama Cross Country

The North Tama Cross Country team ran at Tama County Lake Monday, Sept. 14.

Running for the Junior Varsity girls was Nicole Schlichting. Schlichting came in 20th place with a time of 28:24.

Running for the Junior Varsity boys were Panchuk Oleksiy, Cody Finical and Robert Young. Panchuk came in 21st place with a time of 22:07, Finical placed 48th in 35:43 and Young was right behind him in 49th place with a time of 36:31.

The Varsity girls as a team had a sixth place finish with 187 points. Mallory Espenscheid again crossed the finish line first for the Redhawks in 33rd place with a time of 20:34, Kailey Kladivo placed 36th place with a time of 20:37. Freshman, BrandiAnne Daub was third across the line for the team in a time of 22:04 and a 40th place finish. Nikki Peters, in 41st place had a time of 23:06. Leah Franklin finished in 42nd place in 23:09, Brittany Young had a 44th place finish with a time of 23:56 and Kaity Kupka finished 46th place in a time of 25:25.

David Robinson had extra incentive this meet, if he finished in the top nine he was told by his mother that he could get a truck. Robinson finished in seventh place with a time of 17:42 and the first thing out of his mouth upon finishing was, "Where is my truck?" Happy driving D Rob.

Jacob Espenscheid had a 43rd place finish in a time of 22:08 with Corey Jones right behind him with a 22:18
