Tuesday September 29was senior night, as North Tama hosted Dunkerton. This year seven seniors were honored: Amanda Hoeg, Merrisa Fox, Alex Oletski, Lucille Howard, Nora Seda, Kelsey Upah, and Morgan Halupnick. The Redhawks dominated Dunkerton, winning 3-0 with scores of 25-12, 25-9, and 25-19. Leading the Redhawks for the evening was Upah with 13 kills out of 17 attempts with only 1 kill error. Oletski contributed 11 kills. Herink had 4 kills. Amanda Howard had 3 kills and Lucille Howard had 1 kill. Hoeg ended the night with 29 assists. Serving Aces for the night were: Upah-3, Hoeg-1, Chelsea Dinsdale-1, Halupnick-1. Blocking for the night was Upah-7 blocks, 1 block kill, Herink-1 block kill, Amanda Howard-2 blocks, 1 block kill.
Thursday, October 1 the Redhawks traveled to Janesville to meet the 15th ranked Wildcats. In one of the most exciting matches of the year, the Redhawks started strong, leading early, but were defeated 3-0, with scores of 19-25, 18-25, 16-25. Leading the Redhawks for the match was junior Erin Herink with 10 kills. Upah had 8 kills. Oletski had 2 kills. Amanda Hoeg had 1 kill. Amanda Howard had 1 kill. Serving Aces for the night were: Upah, Oletski, and Herink with 1 each. Blocking against one of the top hitting teams of the conference were: Upah-15 blocks with 1 block kill, Nora Seda-5 blocks.

We'd love to have a full gym for playoffs! Even through there's construction at the school, there's plenty of parking in the back.
