LONE TREE - Class A No. 2 North Tama notched its fifth shutout of 2009 with a 41-0 win over Lone Tree in Week 6 football action Friday.

The Redhawks (6-0) recorded 17 tackles for loss in the game, paced by five from all-state linebacker Grant Vesely. Jeremy Wrage had three tackles for loss, while Lucas Hefty and Cade Isenhower had two apiece.

Vesely finished the night involved in 20 tackles (five solos and 15 assists). Isenhower had 14 assists.

North Tama gained 439 yards rushing on the night on only 35 carries and scored six times.

Dylan Youel, Brendon Boerm and Colton Hamilton eached rushed for over 100 yards. Youel had 12 carries for 131 yards and a touchdown. Boerm gained 126 yards and had two scores on six attempts, which included a 93-yard touchdown run. Hamilton amassed 115 yards on seven carries with two touchdowns.

The Redhawks (3-0 in District 6) jump back into district play Friday at GMG (2-4, 1-2).
