On April 20 the North Tama boys track team traveled to Dike to compete in the 2010 Wolverine Invitational.
In field events Nolan Hefty received fourth place in the shot put with a throw of 33' 31/4" and sixth place in the discus with a 80' 7 1/2" throw. Brent Billerbeck entered the long jump coming out in second place with a 18' 2 1/2" jump. Finally in the high jump, Sophomore, Mitchell Boerm grabs the first place position with a 5'8" jump.
In running events, Nick Whannel receives second place in the 100 meter dash with a time of 12.43. Also taking second in the 1600 meter run was Skyler Kvidera with his time of 5.29.14, Kvidera also received sixth place in the 800 meter run with O. Panchuk getting fourth place in that same event. Brendon Boerm gave NT 10 team points with a first place finish in the 400 meter hurdles with a finish time of 58.42. The boys ended the meet with 70 total points.
April 22 the boys travel to Denver. In the 3200 meter run for varsity David Robinson tied for seventh place with Hudson's Cory Schmitt with a time of 11:09.33. Tyler Beenken followed not far behind with a tenth place finish timed at 11:18.81. Fourth place in the 110 meter run was Jeremy Wrage running a 16.15 time. Junior, Brendon Boerm ran the 400 meter hurdles placing third and also competed in the long jump with a jump of 19'4". Dylan Youel a senior for North Tama entered the shot put finishing seventh, throwing 41'10.50". North Tama finished in ninth with a score of 34.
Finally, on April 26 Junior Varsity boys traveled to South Hardin with Mitchell Boerm placing first in the high jump, jumping 5'8". Billerbeck, Whannel and Kvidera all received second place in their events. Billerbeck in the long jump, Whannel in the 100 meter dash and Kvidera in the 1600 meter run. Hefty placed fourth in the shot put and sixth in the discus.
