Even though Foster is retiring, he and his wife, Roseanne have plans on going to Rome so he can work at the American Overseas School as the K-5 grade principal. " Roseanne and I decided we could not pass this opportunity up, what an adventure of a lifetime otherwise I wouldn't be leaving here." stated Foster. Rosanne, who works as the librarian at the Traer Public Library has received a leave of absence from her position so that her husband could fill the 2 year contract that this job requires and says she plans on returning to the library when they return from Rome.

Do look for the Fosters often in town though because frequent visits back home is what Foster states is what he will look forward to. Foster commented, " I am a Redhawk, love being a Redhawk and will never stop being a Redhawk."

The Fosters have three kids, now grown, Luke, a dentist and his wife Sarah live in Wisconsin with daughter, Maryrose and are expecting their second child. Jill and her husband Matt are both teachers and the couple reside in Milo. Their youngest, Mark and his wife Sarah are living in Biose, Idaho while Mark finishes school.
