Cecil “Razzy” Rasmussen, 89

Cecil "Razzy" Rasmussen, 89 of Traer died June 8, 2010 at Sunrise Hill Care Center in Traer. Services were held on Friday, June 11 at Overton Funeral Home. Military rites were conducted by Traer American Legion. A private family burial will be at a later date.

Cecil "Razzy" Rasmussen was born January 21, 1921 in Dike: the son of S. Everett and Edna (Hiple) Rasmussen. He was united in marriage to Ruth Redfearn on December 1, 1945 in Hudson. He served in the United States Army during World War II and was a member of the American Legion in Traer. Cecil had been employed at Rosemond as a Mechanic in Hudson, worked for 28 years at AWE Gas Station then retired from Lone Pine in Traer.

Cecil passed away on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at Sunrise Hill Care Center at the age of 89. He is preceded in death by his parents; a daughter Peggy McNeill; a granddaughter Dee Kisner; a brother Gale Rasmussen and 2 sisters: Wilma Wyatt and Willadean Schlicht. Cecil is survived by his wife of 64 years, Ruth of Traer; 4 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; 2 sister-in-laws: Zonya Collum of Ark. and Ruby Rhoades of Hudson and several nieces and nephews.
