The Redhawks run away with their first game of the season leaving GMG 62-0 in the dust. This years Redhawks ranked third in the state blew away the Wolverines.

Redhawks put up 21 points in the first quarter with a touchdown from Tyler Cizek who caught the ball in the end zone putting the Redhawks on the board early. Shortly followed by Boerm who ran 32 yards into the end zone for the touchdown.
In the second quarter the Redhawks put up another 20 points bringing the score to 41 to 0 at the end of the first half. Starting the third quarter Zach Kaufman crossed the end zone, while Clayton Blocker caught a pass from Jacob Wrage and ran for a 52-yard touchdown.
Meanwhile Brendon Boerm scored another touchdown, while Cade Isenhower rushed 109 yards and scored two touchdowns. Lucas Hefty also had a touchdown.
The Redhawks put up 190 rushing yards and 189 yards in the air. The defense allowed only 7 yards and forced the Wolverines into a turnover.
While the varsity boys had their season opener Friday night the JV boys opened their season hitting the road Saturday to face off against Iowa Valley. The Redhawks started their season off right beating Iowa Valley 20 - 0 shutting out the Tigers. Scoring Saturday was Brent Billerbeck, Dalton Hulme, and Omar Martinez.
The Varsity plays next Friday on the road at Victor taking on the HLV Warriors game starts at 7pm. And the JV next plays September 10th before the varsity at East Buchanan game time is 5:00pm.
