Cross Country 2010

September 8, 2010
Traer Star-Clipper

By Adrienne Estes

The 2010 cross-country season is underway. The challenge of cross-country is running up hills, through mud and the great beyond. Feeling the wind through your hair as everyone watches people run by. Running a majestic 4 miles and getting pumped up for races. Our legendary Cross Country team has many awards hanging in the gym. Sophomore BrandiAnne Daub says," Practice is fun and Mr. Skopec is an encouraging coach that pushes us to do our best."

As the season begins, everyone is getting in shape and ready to run against other schools. Freshman Ann Robinson commented about how difficult it is to get through the runs," It depends on how hard people try." The team consists of 1 senior, 3 juniors, 3 sophomores, and 1 freshman. Senior Brittany Young commented on what they do on Fun Days, " Fridays are game days, where practice is a running game and fun days, but yet you have to be inspired and in shape to be in it."
