North Tama Redhawks hit the road last Friday night to play against the HLV Warriors. It was a bit of a windy night, not that the boys noticed. Winning the game 37 - 0, shutting down the Warriors for the second shutout in a row this season.

North Tama started the night with a touchdown from Justin Jacobs who caught a short pass from Brendon Boerm and then ran the ball 37 yards before making it into the end zone. Putting the Redhawks on the board just six minutes into the game. Eight minutes later in the first quarter, quarterback Brendon Boerm rushed into the end zone to put the Redhawks up to 14 - 0.

North Tama put up another score right before half thanks to Lucas Hefty, catching his first of three touchdowns on the night. Hefty caught 11 passes for 166 receiving yards. He then had his next touchdown at the end of the third quarter putting the score to 21 - 0 to take the Redhawks into the fourth quarter.

Leading the Redhawks in tackles for the night was Cade Isenhower with six solo tackles and 5 assisted tackles. Followed by Brandon Svoboda with 3 solo tackles and 5 assisted tackles. Nathan Jones and Marshall Karr both had 2 solo tackles and 6 assisted tackles on the night.

North Tama ended the night with another passing play that put Hefty in the end zone taking the score to 35 to 0. Late in the fourth quarter the Redhawks had the Warriors deep in their own territory when North Tama got a safety with only 5:22 left on the board these would be the final points scored for the game and making the score 37 - 0.

The Redhawks play again this Friday at East Buchanan. Both JV and Varsity will play. JV will play the first game. The time is set for 5:00pm with Varsity to follow at 7:00pm.
