To present the best of Traer, it's businesses and organizations, Jolene Holden has been working hard to improve the Traer website. The idea is to highlight Traer and what it has to offer for people wanting to visit, move their families or businesses here or to work in Traer.

With help and the great efforts of the people in the community this new site is successfully up and running with it's new up-to-date information and look. Though there is a large percent of the businesses already having their own pages on www.Traer.com, Holden says that she is still working hard to raise the number.

Organizations such as Boy Scouts and local churches have also been developing their own pages with some event committees even having their own pages available to "click" on. Holden commented," When I'm out talking to people in the community, the most often asked question is if people really go to the site." Holden goes on to say, " A Definite YES is the answer." For people with questions to a particular question or those Holden can't answer herself, she does make sure that those people asking are forwarded to the appropriate person or business in town.

Reports indicate that during the month of August, the site had nearly 1,000 visitors. Of visitors, 79% were new to the site with several returning after their initial visit. 60% of the visitors arrive through search engine (i.e. yahoo, google), 22% of visitors come directly to the site. 18% are referred through other sites such as "traveliowa.com.

There are a reported 28 different countries/territories that have visited so far such as, USA, Mexico, Canada ,India, Turkey, United Kingdom, Austria and Spain.

You can check this great site for yourself at www.Traer.com
