As football season gets started, homecoming is a big part of this season. The dance was held on Saturday after the game from 8 to 11. It was time to get ready to get dressed up and dance your pants off. The sophomore class was in charge of homecoming theme. The theme was Candy Land this year and the sophomores were busy at work, preparing it. Homecoming week was September 13 through the 17 and the cheerleaders got the dress up days prepared. Monday was Roll out of bed day, Tuesday was Twin Day, Wednesday was Wacky Wednesday, Thursday was Dress as someone that your not, and Friday was Spirit Day. For the Window Paintings, everyone did well and the winners were The Freshman class and the Art Club.
The homecoming candidates were selected and the boys were Brendon Boerm, Lucas Hefty, Nathan Jones, Jon Koob, and Tyler Zook. The girls were Erin Herink, Amanda Howard, Lillian Howard, Nicole Jenson, and Alyssa Sickel. The student body decided the king and queen and they were chosen during the assembly and the football game. Congrats to Lucas Hefty and Lillian Howard for being 2010 Homecoming King and Queen. What is your responsibility to the student body now that you're a homecoming candidate? Lillian Howard answered," To me being voted as a candidate means a lot because my peers voted for me. I feel I have to return the favor and set a good example for the younger kids." Amanda Howard answered, "To not let the younger students and school down by acting as a good role model." Having younger students looking up to upper classman inspires them to grow up just like them.
