Senior Year

October 6, 2010

Senior year is something students look forward to all through school and now it's finally here for the class of 2011. This is truly a "last" year, last first football game, last prom, last year of being with classmates, the people students have grown up with all of their school lives.

It's a bittersweet feeling. Although there may be sadness about what they are leaving behind, students should also be proud of where they are. When asked the question, "What does it feel like to be a senior?" Marshall Karr answered, "I feel like I've accomplished something great. Lillian Howard stated, "It feels like I'm going to leave so much behind but there is so much to still accomplish. It is exciting and scary at the same time. "

The class of 2011 has a lot of potential to do great things like go to college and get a good job. When asked about future plans, Megan Billington said "I plan on going to Kirkwood Community College for the X-ray Technician Program." Lillian Howard plans to go to Iowa State for the genetics program.Seniors, enjoy this year, the last year together as a class. Be proud of how far you've come and where you are going.
