Tama County Supervisors had little business for Monday mornings meeting.
Engineer Lyle Brehm states that Manatt's intends to complete the shouldering on Highway D65 in two passes. The first pass, which is the majority of the work, will be completed today or tomorrow. The second pass, which will fine tune the slope of the shoulder, could very easily be done by the end of the week.
There will still be minor things to be completed such as silt fence, guardrail, seeding, etc. but the road will be very usable for citizens in a very short time frame.
The bridge on Abbott Avenue, south of Dunbar, is now open. The Bridge crew replaced a severely deteriorated bridge with a 3-ton weight limit.
Claims approved for the past week amounted to $340,612.36.
