Richard A. Mask, 61 formerly of Traer died Sunday, December 26, 2010 at Keokuk Area Hospital in Keokuk. A memorial gathering and Scripture Service was held Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at the St. paul Catholic Church in Traer. A private family burial will be held at a later date.

Richard A Mask was born June 16, 1949 at Waterloo, son of Ralph and Bertha Foley Mask. He received his education in Dysart and graduated from Dysart Geneseo High School with the Class of 1967. He made his home throughout the years in Iowa, Wyoming, Texas and South America working in sales and the construction field as a heavy equipment operator. For the past 5 years he has made his home in Keokuk where his death came on Sunday, December 26, 2010 at the age of 61 years. Richard spent much of his free time volunteering for his favorite organizations. He also enjoyed spending time with his family especially his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Llona Neuman, her son Mark and one brother Daniel.

He is survived by his brothers and sisters, Leta (Larry) Kopriva of Toledo, David Mask of Washington, Jeri (Dean) Splittgerber of Marshalltown, Bruce Mask and Joel (Julie) Mask all of Traer and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established
