The North Tama girls basketball team played in a conference game at home on January 4. In a show of immaculate defense and forceful offense the Redhawks defeated Dunkerton 80-23. Leading the team in points scored was Kailey Kladivo. Kladivo contributed 25 points, made 12 of her 20 attempted field goals, and one free throw. Kladivo also had 4 assists and 2 steals. Allison Zobel scored 16 points in the Dunkerton game. Zobel made 7 of her 13 attempted shots, had 4 assists and 5 steals. Erin Herink made 5 of her 9 attempted field goals earning 12 points for the team. Herink had 9 assists and 5 steals. Amanda Howard scored 10 points in the duration of the game. Howard made 4 of her 7 attempted shots and had 3 steals. Sydney Fehr made 2 of her 5 attempted shots and one of her 2 free throws scoring a total of 5 points for the team. Fehr had one assist and one steal. Aryn Isenhower scored 2 points. Isnehower made 1 of her 3 shots and had 4 steals. Hannah Mesch also scored 2 points. Mesch made 1 of her 2 attempted shots, had one assist and 3 steals. Shayla Kopriva scored 2 points. Kopriva made one of one shots, had one assist and 2 steals. Josie Youel scored 2 points. Youel made one of one attempted field goals. Shannon Stuart made one of her 3 attempted field goals earning 2 points. Stuart had one steal. Nicole Schlichting scored 2 points as well. Schlichting made one of her 3 shots, had one assist and one steal.
Kailey Kladivo and the rest of the Redhawks put up a strong defense in the game against Dunkerton on Tuesday, Jan. 4. This win for the Redhawks gave the girls a 9-0 record.

Redhawks take record to 10-0
On January 7 the North Tama girls basketball team played against Clarksville, at Clarksville in a conference game. North Tama defeated Clarksville 53-29. Leading the team in scoring was Kailey Kladivo with 17 points. Kladivo made 8 of her 11 attempted field goals, one of her 2 free throws, had 1 assist and 5 steals. Following Kladivo in points scored was Erin Herink. Herink had 13 points in the game, made 5 of her 18 attempted shots, one of her 3 free throw attempts fand had 8 assists. Amanda Howard scored 10 points in the duration of the game. Howard made 5 of her 8 attempted field goals and had 1 assist. Allison Zobel scored 8 points. Zobel made 3 of her 15 shots, had 3 assists and one steal. Sam Zobel had 3 points in the game. Zobel made one of her 2 attempted shots and one of her 4 free throws. Aryn Isenhower made one of her 4 attempted shots earning her 2 points for the game. Isenhower had one assist and 3 steals.
With an average of 19.5 points per game, Kailey Kladivo has claimed her place as 3rd in the state for lead scorers in class 1A. Kladivo follows closely behind 2nd Karlie Schut, Iowa Christian Academy with 19.6 and 1st Kalli Richarson, Northeast Hamilton with 19.7. Kailey has also earned herself 3rd for lead rebounders in class 1A with 13.1 rebounds per game. Kladivo follows behind 2nd Ashli Walker, Walnut with 14.3 and Kaleigh Strong, Ankeny Christian Academy with 16.3. These rankings are updated every week and last week Kladivo had the first place position for scoring in Class 1A.

Hefty made 6 of his 11 field goal attempts, six of his six free throws, had one assist and 4 steals. Following close behind Hefty in points was Brendon Boerm, who scored 17 points. Boerm made 8 of his 16 shots, had 5 assists and 2 steals. Mitchell Boerm scored 11 points. Boerm made 4 of his 7 shots, 3 of his 5 free throws, had 2 assists and 1 steal. Jacob Wrage scored 8 points in the game. He scored on 4 of his 6 field goal attempts and had 3 assists. Nolan Hefty also scored 8 points. Hefty made 2 of his 5 shots and 4 of his 4 free throws. Tyler Cizek made 3 of his 3 shots earning 6 points. Cizek had 3 assists and one steal. Skyler Kvidera earned 4 points. Kvidera made both of his field goal attempts. Dalton Hulme made one field goal earning him 2 points.

Cade Isenhower had 2 points. Isenhower made one of his 5 attempted shots, had 3 assists and 3 steals.
