Delmar Warren Fehr, 84

Delmar Warren Fehr, age 84 of Marshfield, Mo., formerly of Traer passed away Monday March 14th, 2011 at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.

He was born October 27, 1926 to Henry and Katherine (Kersten) Fehr and grew up on the farm near Dysart. Delmar graduated from Dysart in 1945.

Delmar was united in marriage to Beverly Vesely on January 11, 1948 and they were blessed with four daughters.

He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a regular attendee to the Cross Bridge Church in Marshfield and looked forward to going to the senior center to meet with friends.

He was a Blue Cross-Blue Shield Insurance salesman and later went to school to get his degree to be a substance abuse counselor. He was employed at Hazelden in Center City Minn. and retired from there in 1989.

Delmar loved his family and they spent many weekends camping and boating or just walking through the woods enjoying Gods Creations. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing and cherished his time with family and friends doing these things.

Delmar was preceded in death by his beloved wife Beverly; his parents; two brothers Harris and Harland Fehr.

Survivors include his four daughters Brenda Kritser and husband David of San Diego, Gayle Kucera and husband Dennis of Traer, Jolene Spurgeon and husband Dennis of Cedar Rapids, and Robin Reeve and husband Mike of Marshfield, Mo. Seven grandchildren, Adam, Brandon, Danielle, Erin, Dain, Addison, and Landon; seven great-grandchildren, Sydney, Brooklyn, Shanin, Breanna, Kane, Heidi, and Andrea; one sister Irene Clough of Dysart, and a very special friend Donna Demshar of Mansfield, Mo., and his faithful dog Rusty, as well as a host of relatives and friends.

Delmar will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing and loving him and we will cherish our memories forever.

A Celebration of Life service has been planned for Sat. April 23rd at 10:30 am at Calvary Baptist Church in Dysart.

Memorials can be directed to the American Cancer Society.
