The North Tama second graders had an exciting day on October 12. They visited the Traer Fire Station! Following a bus ride to the station, the students reviewed fire prevention rules with the fire fighters. They got to look at the fire trucks and find out all about the fire fighting equipment. They even got to see Mrs. Kaufmann dress up in fire fighter gear! The children enjoyed the delicious treats provided by Chelsea Savings Bank. Finally, the students were treated to a ride back to the school on top of the fire truck, complete with fire fighters spraying water from the fire truck onto the football field! It was a day full of fun and fire prevention learning.
