The lady Redhawks are off to a great season with a record of 2-0 in the conference and 1 non-conference win over Belle Plaine. Kladivo lead the Redhawk offense against the Dons with 24 points, A.Zobel added 11, Schlichting 10, Fehr 7, Knoop 3, and Youel and S.Zobel with 2 a piece. They shot 92% from the line with 11 of 12 free throws. The defense held Don Bosco's leading scorer, Brittany Hickson, to 14 points with the rest of the team averaging 2 points. Allison Zobel added 9 assists to the teams 22, and Sydney Fehr led with 5 of 21 steals from the Dons. The Redhawks beat Don Bosco with a final score of 59-28 and began preparing for Friday night against conference rival, Colo-Nesco. The girls outscored Colo-Nesco in the first half 32-18, but ended the first half in foul trouble. The Redhawk defense faced the toughest offense they've seen this season. The Royals had trouble making shots inside the lane but had no trouble outside the arc, making 8 three pointers. The Redhawks played a tough defense and eventually came out on top scoring 22 points in the second half to end the game 54-43. Kladivo had 20 points, A.Zobel 10, Schlichting 9, Fehr 7, Kopriva 5, S.Zobel 2, and Youel with 1. The North Tama girls will take on GMG Tuesday the 6th, Walnut Ridge the 9th, and Grundy Center this Saturday.
