Thomas Paul Debner, 39, of Dysart, died Monday, February 27, 2012, at the home of his sister, Rebecca (Henry) Lindsey in Baltimore, Maryland of a brain tumor.
Tom was born December 17, 1972 in Waterloo, Iowa, the son of Herman and Ellen Schmidt Debner. He was baptized December 17, 1972, and confirmed May 1, 1988. He graduated from East High, Waterloo in May 1992. Tom enjoyed spending his free time listening to a variety of music and being with his family.
He is survived by his parents, siblings Rev. James and Barbara Debner of Southington, Connecticut, Rebecca and Henry Lindsey, and Mark and Melinda Debner of Ames, Iowa, and nieces and nephews Joshua Debner of Seattle, Washington, Abigail Debner of Springfield, Ohio, Rachel, Andrew, and Sarah Debner of Ames, Iowa.
He is predeceased by grandparents John and Laura Hummel Debner, and Andrew and Evelyn Dyal Schmidt.
Visitation will be held at Zion Lutheran Church in Dysart on April 26th from 5:30-7 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 7:00 pm. A private burial will be held later.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established at Zion Lutheran Church. The family was assisted by Maryland Cremation Services in Baltimore, Maryland.
