Owners and spectators braved the rain and wind last week to help officially welcome a new business to Traer. R&H Welding & Fabrication held its ribbon-cutting ceremony in conjuction with the Traer Chamber of Commerce.
Chamber members presented the owners with a certificate and flowers to welcome them to the business community here in town, and things already seem to be going well.
Owner Randy Hansen started the business in January of 2012 as a welding shop and has since expanded into all phases of shop fabrication.

R&H provides everything from routing mobile welding repair to custom products. Among the many services the crew there can perform are repairing residential gates, railings, staircases, wrought iron ornamental ironwork and structural steel fabrication. They also provide service for custom ironwork and can repair large equipment such as wheel loader buckets, excavators and dozer blades.
And based on their client list, the shop is doing a great job with quality and service. Among the businesses they've already worked for are Heartland Co-op here in Traer, Wendt Tire Service, Traer Municipal Utilities, Municipal Hall and Randolph's Inc. The folks at R&H have also served dozens of local farmers and individuals.
R&H Welding & Fabrication is located at 1614 Highway 63 North. The building is next to Champion, just north of the golf course. Shop hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., with mobile welding available anytime by appointment.
