North Tama holds prom

April 26, 2012

North Tama students, like so many others across the nation, celebrated the annual rite of passage of prom last weekend. Juniors and seniors from North Tama High School celebrated their big night in style, with a Grand March at 6 p.m. in the North Tama gymnasium.

The event was a great success, with seniors building memories that will last a lifetime. Parents and the rest of the public packed the gym to see all the couples and their outfits. Students were decked out in a variety of colorful and unique tuxedos and dresses. Outfits ranged from traditional to downright wild.

This year's theme was "Under The Sea". Following the march, students headed over to the memorial building on Second Street to kick off the evening's festivities. There was a meal served and before long, the students were dancing the night away.

The students participated in a Grand March at the high school gym before heading over to the memorial building for the dance. Several students were kind enough to take a break from dancing to pose for pictures. The students were well-behaved and gracious on their special evening.
