FSB auction raises big bucks

May 11, 2012
Ross Bercik - Managing Editor , Traer Star-Clipper

The silent auction at Farmers Savings Bank in downtown Traer, designed to raise funds for this year's Relay for Life, was a great success last week. The bank was able to raise money to donate to the fight against cancer. The bank also participated in the Traer City Wide Garage Sales on Saturday, with a good turnout with the nice weather. The bake sale last week also contributed to the Relay for Life, and Cindy Blaine, who helped coordinate things on the bank's end, was pleased with the way things turned out. Here, Cindy (left) accepts a check from Shirley McGarvey, of Buckingham, for items she purchased at the auction. This year's Relay for Life will be June 15-16 at the track at South Tama High School beginning at 6 p.m.
