North Tama senior Kailey Kladivo was recognized by Governor Terry Branstad and Lt. Governor Kimberly Reynolds this month for her outstanding academic achievement at the Tenth Annual Governor's Scholar Recognition Ceremony.
The ceremony took place on April 29 at Hy-Vee Hall in Des Moines. The statewide program honored a total of 442 seniors in Iowa this year, and is sponsored by the governor's office, Iowa High School Athletic Association and the Iowa Farm Bureau Federation.
Kladivo earned the honor after being nominated for her academic ranking based on her grade point average for the first seven semesters of her academic career at North Tama. Kladivo received a photo plaque of her meeting with the governor.

Kaldivo also graduated as North Tama's valedictorian at commencement ceremonies on Sunday, May 20, 2012.
