North Tama students in grades 2 through 6 participated in Iowa's Money Smart Week Poster contest. Community Bankers of Iowa and Farmers Savings Bank of Traer sponsored the campaign.
The campaign was to increase awareness and promote ways to be financially stable. Posters were sent to Community Bankers of Iowa to be eligible for a $200 Savings Bond.
Tessa Dvorak, a sixth grader and daughter of Doug & Andrea Dvorak of Clutier was the local winner of a $100 Savings Bond. Her poster was chosen the best regarding the theme, "There's a lot to learn about money. What should you know now?"
