Clutier, despite its small size, has seen its share of crime over the past few weeks. Three seperate burglaries are currently being investigated by the Tama County Sheriff's Department.

Last week, the Clutier Public Library joined the unfortunate list of local businesses to be targeted, with three desktop computers, complete with monitors and accessories, stolen sometime during the night.

Employees came to work the next morning to find the computers missing and other damage.

Following that, the sheriff's department also received a report that the Clutier Community Church was burglarized, with a sound system and a guitar being taken.

The new city building that was constructed after the derecho wind storm of July 2011 was also hit, with the perpetrators taking an undisclosed amount of cash and vandalizing the property.

According to the Tama County Sheriff's Department, the burglaries are still under investigation, and no further information was available.
