The month of May saw visitors increase at the Shaker Gallery. Signing the book were 128 people.
Of those, seven teams of four students each came from the University of Chicago on a scavenger hunt on May 12. What a fun Saturday that was at the Gallery! The students were in costume, having fun, and very appreciative of the Gallery and the awesome collection. They had to find several pairs of specific shakers (spotted two weeks earlier by the judges who came through), and they had so much fun posing for photos with the shakers when they found them. I put their team photos on Facebook, and heard from a few of them later, which was fun too.
Mike and Gretchen Pargeon brought their "daughter" from Turkmenistan to visit the Gallery before she left to return to her home in that country.
