The North Tama Redhawk baseball team has found its stride as of late, reeling off four straight wins over the past week. The streak began with a 9-2 win at Colo-Nesco last Friday and continued with 3-0 and 13-3 wins over Wapasie Valley and Dunkerton, respectively, at the East Buchanan Tournament over the weekend. The boys followed up their long layoff - which came as a result of a cancelled doubleheader with Meskwaki - with an 8-0 shutout victory over Belle Plaine at home on Tuesday. Brent Billerbeck leads the team with 12 stolen bases this season. Dalton Hulme is batting .404 and leads the team with 15 RBI. Brian Seda is also hitting over .400 and has 11 RBI on the season. Jacob Wrage is 4-0 with a 3.21 ERA and has a 3-1 strikeout-to-walk ratio on the year. The Redhawks host a tournament this Saturday against BCLUW, Conrad and North Mahaska.
Senior catcher Justin Jacobs, battling the sun, makes a nice catch of a foul ball during the fourth inning of Tuesday’s game against Belle Plaine.
