Celebrate more birthdays at the Relay for Life, Friday, June 15!
The American Cancer Society Relay for Life of Tama County will begin on Friday, June 15, at 6 p.m. at the South Tama H.S. track. In case of rain the event will move to the South Tama H.S. gymnasium.
The Gladbrook mayor will welcome all guests. The Survivors Lap begins the walking. A Silent Auction of varied items from numerousTama County businesses will be held from 6:30 8:30 p.m. The Luminaria Ceremony takes place at 9:00 p.m. with special events each hour all night long.
The Memory Wall and games for all ages will be available throughout the evening. Luminaria and raffle tickets can be purchased at this event as well as in advance. The three raffle items are a handmade quilt, an original metal sculpture of a rose, and a hot-air balloon ride.
