Tuesday, June 19 at 7 p.m., the Kubik-Finch Post #142 Women's Auxiliary heled their meeting with 19 members attending. The meeting was brought to order by President Irene Hanus. The flags were placed by Thelma Loutsch and Audrey Babinat. The pledge was said and we all sang the Star Spangled Banner with an opening prayer by Jean Beenken. The preamble was said and the vacant chair was read by Kathy Manfull.
Correspondance was read from Elsie Gates and Audrey Lenaburg's daughter.
We will order ten memorial markers at $29.95 each. This will come out of our memorial fund.
The museum window will proudly display the list of fallen veterans. They will have to be held up with stands next year.
Arlene Schmidt gave a report on the poppy days.
Draping of the cloth for our charter members who died this past year were Kathryn Schafer, Vera Staker, Henrietta Tapliff and Audrey Lenaburg. Karen Podhajsky, Irene Hanus and Jean Beenken presided. Karen played the song "You Raise Me Up." Very nice ceremony.
New officers will be nominated by the officers next year. Installation of officers this year will be next meeting, July 17, at 7 p.m. Meeting was adjourned around 8:30 p.m. A delicious salad was served by Thelma Loutsch and Gerene Lassen.
