It's back to school time, and although many kids may be dreading the thought of another long year, it's time to prepare nonetheless.
In that vain, teachers and staff from North Tama schools will be on hand to help some of the district's youngest students get acclimated and make the process a little easier.
On Wednesday, August 15, the North Tama kindergarten families will have the opportunity to visit the classroom and bring in school supplies.
Families will be welcome anytime between 4 and 6 p.m. During this time, families will get to help the kindergartners put away all of the materials and find the child's table spot and cubby.
Parents will also receive a packet of information containing the classroom schedule and math and reading program notes.
This event helps the kindergarten families become reacquainted with the classroom and the teachers. It also helps alleviate some of the anxieties associated with the start of the school year.
