Former Traer resident to perform in NYC

Kevin Wood, former Traer resident and now a Chicago-based singer/actor/storyteller, returns to NYC for an evening of poignant and, often humorous, stories and songs celebrating his personal journey from the Midwest to NYC, back to the Midwest and, now, back to NYC! This marks Kevin's NYC cabaret debut. Kevin is the son of the late Donald and Eleanor Wood and a graduate of North Tama High School.

A recent review from Cabaret Scenes stated that Kevin "engages the audience and it all comes alive." His new show titled, "I WAS HERE.....and I'm back!!!" will be accompanied my his musical director, Beckie Menzie.

Besides performing credits in NYC, Chicago and regional opera and musical theater, Kevin has most recently performed shows at Davenport's, Chicago's premiere venue for cabaret. In November, Kevin will debut a holiday show at The Cab at Theater 773 in Chicago.

Kevin is a member of AEA (Actor's Equity Association), CCP (Chicago Cabaret Professionals), and MAC (Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs) and is a Jeff-nominated performer. Repertoire will include selections by a wide variety of composers, including Bucchino, John, Wildhorn, Hamlisch, Weinberg, Carnelia, Gallagher, and more!
