The girls of the North Tama volleyball team have had a busy first half of October, winding down the regular portion of the 2012 season with a series of matches that have seen them hovering around the .500 mark.
The ladies defeated Meskwaki in an easy 3-0 match before fighting out a 3-2 win over Waterloo Christian on October 4.
October 6 was the Comet Invite at Conrad, which saw the girls drop two matches to New Hampton, including the final. The Redhawks beat Gladbrook-Reinbeck 2-0 and West Marshall 2-0, while also dispatching host BCLUW 2-1.

Shannon Stuart led the team with ten kills, including a 6-for-6 performance in the opening set of the finals. Allie Zobel and Josie Youel both had eight kills apiece. Aryn Isenhower tallied 21 assists.
Overall, Zobel leads the team this season with 238 kills. Zobel has also been efficient when serving this season with a percentage of .943.
Isenhower has done the majority of the serving for the Redhawks this year, with a percentage of .940. She also has 43 aces on the year.
Stuart has recorded 147 kills in the 2012 season, while also compiling an impressive 337 attack attempts.
Youel, a junior this year, has 131 kills, and Molly Dvorak had 40. Emma Knoop has spent much of her time serving as well, with a percentage of .877. Rachel Rohach has 16 kills on the season.
The girls end the regular season Oct. 11 with a 6 p.m. match at G-R.
