The North Tama County Community School Board held a special meeting on Monday, January 14, 2013 to fill the vacancy on the board left by the departure of longtime member Richard Arp.
Doug Dvorak, board member candidate, was present and was nominated to serve the remainder of Arp's term as board member. The motion, made by Dave Stuart and seconded by Judy Robb, passed unanimously. Dvorak was sworn in and will serve out the remainder of the term.
Dvorak will be busy in his new role - he has been appointed as representative for the County Assessor Conference Board.
The board also voted to approve the SBRC Modified Allowable Growth of $10,802 due to increased enrollment and $7,060 due to open enrollment out. The motion passed unanimously.
The next regularly scheduled meeting of the North Tama County Community School Board will be Monday, January 21 at 7 p.m.
