The North Tama boys showed a lot of heart, but ended up falling short in their quest for a state title last week in Des Moines. The Redhawks fell to defending state champion Boyden-Hull in semifinals by a score of 77-52 on Thursday, March 7. North Tama eventually finished fourth after an 80-56 loss the following day against top-seeded Danville in the consolation game. The Redhawks wrapped up a historic season with a school record 26 wins and their first-ever trip to the state tournament.
