The Collectors Roadshow, a traveling cornucopia of buyers that visit towns across the nation, will spend this Friday and Saturday in the area buying items of all kinds.
This Friday, July 12, and Saturday, July 13, the Collectors Roadshow will be in Marshalltown to buy everything from electronics to jewelry to toys. The show, which has visited several cities across the region in recent months, is different from other events in that it doesn't cost to enter your items.
Among the most popular items buyers will be looking for are late-model electronics, including iPhones and BlackBerrys. Prices vary, and original packaging is not necessary. As with any used item, the condition of your merchandise largely determines its value.
Some of the many participants of a recent Collectors Roadshow display their diverse selection of items. The show is a great way to make money off unique and unwanted items.
Of particular interest to some of the older folks in Traer and around the area may be the chance to sell toys and/or coins made before 1965. Items like this bring in bigger buyers because they are becoming more and more difficult to find.
Among the other items buyers will be looking for are musical instruments, war memorabilia, jewelry, watches and much more.
The Collectors Roadshow will take place from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Hampton Inn & Suites, 20 Iowa Ave. West in Marshalltown.
