NT school board election results

Unofficial results for the North Tama County Community School Board election held last Tuesday, September 10 have been released.

In the only contested race of this year's election, Rod Zobel defeated Lisa Gorder in District 1 by an 85-54 vote margin. District 1 covers Buckingham and rural northern sections of the school district. The rest of the races were uncontested.

Cheryl Popelka received 126 votes in District 2, Trisha Kennedy received 126 votes in District 3 and Robert Young got 130 votes in District 4.

Gretchen Pargeon will return to the school board after receiving 119 votes in District 5, and Doug Dvorak will remain on the board in District 6 after receiving 125 votes.
