Redhawks at BCLUW tourney

North Tama picked up it's second win this week, Thursday night, against Waterloo Christian 26-24, 26-24 & 25-15; Tuesday night they beat Meskwaki Settlement in three sets 25-11, 25-11 & 25-10. The Redhawks finished conference play tonight at 4-4 and are 14-9 overall.

North Tama's Josie Youel had 12 kills, Molly Dvorak had 8 and Madison Howard had 5 kills out of 6 attempts in her first appearance on the varsity squad. Anna Kopriva had 22 assists, 1 solo and 2 blocking assists. Rian Weda had 2 solo blocks and 1 block assist along with 5 ace serves. Shayla Kopriva had 8 digs and Whitney Pokorny 7 digs.

On Tuesday night against Meskwaki Youel had 13 kills. Youel has a .340 hitting average and an average of .45 blocks per game for the season. Dvorak had 9 kills against Meskwaki. Pokorny was 16 for 16 serving, while Youel had 7 aces against the Warriors.

North Tama plays this weekend at the BCLUW tournament in Conrad.
