Between now and December 20, 2013, area residents can drop off new or gently used toys, books and school supplies at any of three Traer drop-off points: Whannel's Hardware, Owens Insurance and Hometown Foods (Please note: due to infection control rules we cannot accept stuffed animals). This is the third year for Hesperia Lodge's Toy, Book and School Supply Drive. The previous two years have been fantastic at bringing in toys, books and school supplies for those in need during the holiday season. Thank you for your support.
For any unable to give toys, books or school supplies, Hesperia Lodge members will also be selling copies of "Best of Country Cookies," which contains recipes for 277 different cookies. This book sells for only $10, with the proceeds going to help the Masonic Children's Hospital and the Masonic Scholarship Fund for North Tama Students.
In the book, you'll see large, beautiful color pictures of freshly baked cookies... it has 277 cookie recipes that were chosen from over 34,000 cookie recipes in a national contes, and each one of the winners was a family favorite. You may also want to consider extra copies as gifts for family and friends. Some people have ordered as many as 10 copies when they see the quality of this book at this discounted price. Many people have found this book soon becomes one of the most-used cookbooks in their home, and you likely will, too. A great present or stocking stuffer for the cook or cookie lover in your life. Your $10 purchase of this book from Members of Hesperia Lodge gives you a fantastic book and gives support to those who need it most. Please see Masons: Brian Whannel, Jay Owens, Sam Young, Neil Donald or Ryan Currens to order your copies today, order by December 13, 2013 to have your copies by Christmas.
