Young Guns install new officers

The regular meeting of the Young Guns 4h club was held October 27, 2013 at the Vodochodsky's house. Prior to the meeting, everyone was divided into pairs and cleaned the ditches.

Joie Casto called the meeting to order at 2:43 p.m. There were eight members as well as eight parents and visitors present. Roll call was to clear a firearm and name a part. Ethan Heck led the Pledge to the American Flag. Secretary notes were read by Kim. They were approved by Rachel Silhanek and seconded by Jensen Vodochodsky.

Old business discussed was Rachel Silhanek, Eric Keller and Connor Casto participated in the State shoot at Big Springs near Montezuma. We also set up a recruiting table at the NRA shoot at the Stewart's. Delaynee Henley motioned to end old business while Rachel Silhanek seconded it.

New business discussed was deciding that the club fees of $15 will be paid to the club. Josh will be starting a Rifle action program for the club. There will also be a hunters dinner fundraiser held in December.

New officers were also voted in as follows: President is Connor Casto, Vice President is Eric Keller, Secretary is Nadiya Stepanchenko, Treasurer is Liesel Casto, Photography is Delaynee Henley and Rachel Silhanek, and Recreation is Draysen. Delaynee Henley motioned to end new business and Rachel Silhanek seconded it.

Rachel and her dad gave the kids a presentation on how to work on grip control using a quarter. After the meeting, the kids were seperated into two groups. One group worked on grip control using a quarter and the others did the new action shoot.

Out next meeting will be November 30, 2013. We will be meeting at the Casto's house at 9 a.m. A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Delaynee Henley and seconded by Liesel Casto.
