Buckingham Boosters annual meeting

The Buckingham Boosters' annual January meeting was held on Sunday January 5, 2014 at the Heartland Co-op in Traer. The meeting was called to order by President Aubree Beenken. Michael Frisbee lead the Pledge of Allegiance. Landon Calderwood read the roll call. The roll call question was, "What is your favorite movie or TV show?" The roll call was answered by 21 members. The minutes of the previous meeting were read by Landon Calderwood. Dylan Hosek made a motion to approve the minutes as read, seconded by Michael Frisbee. Carly Ackman gave the Treasurer's Report. The pressent account balance is $1,621.39. Michael Frisbee made a motion to approve the Treasurer's Report, seconded by Tommy Weber and Aaron Snider. Committee Reports: We did receive the $400 Pioneer Grant, times and dates for future events will be announced. Old Business: County Awards Day was held on Sunday December 8th at the Reing Center in Toledo. Ryan Snider reported that it went well. Beef Weigh-in was on Friday December 27th at the sale barn in Tama. Dylan Hosek reported that it was very cold, but everyone got through okay. New Business: There is currently no set date for Winter Carnival this year. Dylan Hosek made a motion to use bop-it, and the bear shoots as our games this year, seconded by Michael Frisbee. Macey Calderwood presented the club with a generous donation from Dick and Joan Schafer at the amount of $500. Leader's Report: Your record books and county awards are in. Please see Rebecca to receive your items. Our next meeting will be on Sunday February 2nd, 2014 at 3 p.m. at the Heartland Co-op in Traer. Hosts will be Katelyn and Nathan Kucera. Today's hosts are Ryan and Aaron Snider, and Dylan Hosek. Presentations today were given by Dylan Hosek on how to make a recipe jar. Carissa Calderwood made a motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Levi Beenken. Stan Miller lead the 4H Pledge.
