North Tama finished fifth at the recent Iowa Star Conference's championship meet, led by Abi Watson in the individual events.

Watson swept the distance double, winning the 1,500 (5:22.25) and the 3,000 (11:34.41), and also anchored the distance medley to victory joined by Josie Youel, Anna Kvidera and Jessi Jacobs. Sam Watson joined Kvidera, Youel and Jacobs in getting gold in the 4x400 (4:20.89).

North Tama track great Sara Stoakes will be inducted into the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union Track & Field Hall of Fame on Saturday, May 24 during the state track meet in Des Moines.

North Tama fans will remember Stoakes for the 12 titles she won during her time as a Redhawk, leading her team to four straight titles. Stoakes has since gone on to a successful track career at Kansas State University.
