Becky Burhenn, 67

Becky Burhenn, 67, of Dysart, passed away on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at Sunnycrest Nursing Center due to complications from multiple sclerosis. Visitation will be held at Zion Lutheran Church, 800 S. Main St. in Dysart, on Friday, July 8, 2016 from 12 to 3 p.m. with a service at the church at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at Dysart Cemetery.

Becky Ann Burhenn was born August 24, 1948 in Waterloo, Iowa, daughter of Glynn and Marilyn (Kusel) Burhenn. She grew up and attended school in Dysart graduating from Dysart High School with the Class of 1966. After graduation, Becky worked as a talented florist, which was her passion. In 1983 she received her certificate of completion for Dried Floral Arranging from the Hawkeye Institute of Technology in Waterloo, Iowa. In her free time, Becky enjoyed reading and watching Iowa Hawkeye Basketball.

Becky passed away peacefully from complications of Multiple Sclerosis at Dysart Sunnycrest Nursing Center on Saturday, July 2, 2016, at the age of 67 years. She was surrounded by family and friends. Her parents and a nephew, Eric Seedorf, preceded her in death. Becky is survived by her sister, Jacquie (Scott) Dunker of Marengo, IL; her nephew, Chad Seedorf of McHenry, IL; her niece, Erika (Wesley) Walker of Algonquin, IL; and three grand-nephews, Julian, Cameron, and Alby Walker.
