Kathleen M. Feuerbach, 97

Kathleen Marie Feuerbach Stanton was born on March 12, 1919, on the family farm near Keystone, Iowa, the daughter of Wendell and Anna (Emmel) Peters. She grew up around Keystone went to Country School, graduated from Keystone High School, and attended Iowa State Teacher's College. On January 25, 1939, Kathleen was united in marriage to Dilver Feuerbach and seven children were born to this union. Dilver died in 1978. On February 10, 1996, Kathleen was united in marriage to Fabian Stanton. Fabian died in 2007. Kathleen made her home in Keystone, Creston, Traer, Garrrison, and Dysart. She worked at the Casey's General Store in Dysart and helped in the dental lab in Waterloo. Kathleen was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Dysart and belonged to the Circle and was also a member of the Dysart Woman's Club. She was a very classy dresser and enjoyed crafting, baking, collecting recipes, going to garage sales, and being involved in her children's, grandchildren's, and great grandchildren's school activities. Kathleen died at the age of 97 on Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at Sunnycrest Nursing Center in Dysart. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; two sisters; a daughter, Judy Knoop; two sons-in-law, Norman Knoop and Mike Hansen; and four brothers-in-law. Kathleen is survived by four daughters, Jackie (Ora) Hennessy of Dysart, Pat Hansen of Dysart, Pam Van Dyke of Ames, and Ginny (Denny) Burgduff of Ames; two sons, Corky (Dalona) Feuerbach of Ackley and Darren (Vicky) Feuerbach of Michigan; twenty grandchildren and step grandchildren; thirty-nine great grandchildren and step great grandchildren; nine great great grandchildren and step great great grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law.
