Thank you for everyone who helped with the events at the library this past week. Thank you to Maxine and Don Valenta for hosting the class on making the perfect Butter Pecan Toffee - we all had a lot of fun and yes the toffee turned out perfectly.
Thank you to Dr. Tom Wicks for putting together and emceeing the Festival of Song - a wonderful performance! Thank you for sharing your talents to Jeni Betts, Suzanne Earley, Ella Wicks, Hannah Kern, Lillie Wicks, Mark Keefer and Kent Aschenbrenner & the Getaway City Band. Also thank you to those who provided cookies: Alice Zimple, Linda McDermott, Dulaine Miller, Kim Overmann, Jo Dunlavey, Nancy Snider, Mary Ann Reed, Ramona Snow, Dotti Keefer, Kathleen Keefer and Dotta Hassman. Thanks to those in the kitchen: Diane Panfil, Donna Deboef, Laurie Schafer, Lucy Panfil and Lydia Schafer.
This coming Saturday, December 8, is the second Saturday of the month, so we will be gathering at the library with our Master Knitter Mary Ann Reed. If you have knitted anything you will be giving as gifts - bring them for a show and tell. It is not too late to start a quick project for holiday giving. In January we will begin meeting on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month.
On Saturday evening, Lydia Schafer entertained the guests on her harp as they arrived for the holiday concert at the library. She was a big hit, and her playing is a perfect addition to any holiday experience.
