Pardon the dust at Traer Historical Museum

February 22, 2013
Traer Star-Clipper

Champion Enterprises has begun extensive construction of new walls for the Traer Historical Museum's Tama Jim Wilson exhibit. Their work will be followed by painting and installation of new flooring, lighting, display cabinets, and narrative signage including a timeline of Mr. Wilson's many accomplishments. As the longest-tenured U.S. Cabinet member, Mr. Wilson served for sixteen years under three consecutive presidents from 1897 to 1913.

The total renovation of the exhibit has been made possible through grants received from Black Hawk County Gaming Association ($4,000.00) and Tama County Community Foundation, an affiliate of the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa ($3,000.00), as well as private donations.
